My Lifetime Care is charity owned

Shaw Foundation

My Lifetime Care is owned by My Care My Home FIA, whose principles are to improve care and accessibility of services for older people in the UK. We exist in line with these principles for the benefit of individuals and their families who are looking for a solution to their care home funding problems.

Any excess funds generated by our activities are returned to our parent charity to further enable their work in providing accessible, high-quality care for the older generation.

Our innovative funding solution, the Care and Home Inheritance Plan, is designed to help people who need to pay for a care home, but do not want to sell their house.

A bit about The Shaw Foundation

The Shaw Foundation dates its establishment to 1986, when Jeremy Nixey developed The Secondary Housing Association for Wales (SHAW).

Upon securing registration as an Exempt Charity for the care home side of this operation in 1994, Jeremy restructured, creating the commercial Shaw Healthcare Group.

In 2006, the charitable The Shaw Foundation Limited, a Co-operative and Community Benefit Society, which began life with a £12.5m bestowal from Shaw Healthcare Group, registered with the FCA (25164R).
